Yes, the markets are driven by those two factors, and I stand by what I said: The basic motivations of all human action and interaction is [are] greed and fear.

1. You are correct in point #1 that the word "is" should have been "are". I type fast and do not always proof it before I post. Many other tasks take a much higher priority.

2. That the hypothesis (not theory) is simple does not make it erroneous. In fact, the most pure Truths are the most basic, as the truth behind Einstein's theory summed up in the equation E=mc2.

3. To test the hypothesis, I invite you to analyze any human action you desire to choose. You will find that at its root is either greed or fear.
