I always type much faster than I think:

This is a good article to check out:

Long-term effect of GM crops serves up
food for thought
Nature 398, 651-656 (1999) Briefing

...I'll get back to you on this one.
May have to start a thread!

Rejoining late, I'm semi-organic (on peaches, I'd use dormant oil & lime-sulpher before bud-out, then BT.

I'd get a few worms, but you know, if you cut open a peach you can see the worms pretty easy (they rarely bothered pears tho - worst offenders were bees & wasps)

When the Japanese Beatles would start defoliating the trees, I'd use
an organic treatment from a catalogue. If that did not work, I'd use
hard core pesticides once. If that did not phase them, I'd pick whatever I could, then go back to hard core to save the trees & toss the fruit.

Remember in Europe, the Greens have a lot more political influence than here, and when you combine that with non-numeric trade barriers, such as the Japanese have specialized in, it's a nasty combo. Strongly agree with your sentiments Mike. Scott

Based on understanding at start of year, continue
EQNX 10 5/8
PERL 3 1/16
BNTI .30
VVID 3 1/8
TRIBY 1 21/32
AXPH 4 3/16
VICL 13 3/4

short S&P 500 futures the remaining 30%

(never did shorts/futures in my life, but am convinced Y2K may still have a major impact - can a kind soul price this 4 me?

If changes are possible, drop axph, vicl, vvid

add

nzym 5 3/4
tbac 16 1/4
axc 4 3/4

I would have liked to have added ptix & adic - big real winners for me, but they're both overbought currently at the end of big runnups, so the 6 month upside may be limited (I believe I plugged this earlier on the thread when much cheaper)

AXC has also been great YTD (an actual hold)

Biotechs have been my sore spot this year. Scott
