As we get ready to enter the last year of this century, join me(TEXASDUDE) in a contest of picking the 10 stocks that you think will make you rich in 1999. Select your ten(10) stocks based on purchasing $10,000 dollars of each stock(rounded to closest whole number of shares) for a total investment of $100,000. Your selections can be common stock or mutual funds. All must be long positions and no short positions in your portfolio. Entries must be made by the first trading day of 1999(1-4-99), based on the closing price of the day you make your entry. I will provide the winner at the end of six months(July 2, 1999 closing prices) a bottle of fine wine(not Texas wine). I will try to provide a weekly update as to that week's winning portfolio. The winning portfolio at the end of 1999 will also win a bottle of fine wine. During the interim, lets talk about any stocks that you deem worthy of discussion. My picks will follow. May Ninety Nine be Fine for all Investors as we get ready for the World to End with the New Milleninium. At least the winner of this contest will have a bottle of fine wine to celebrate this event. By the way, delivery will be by regular mail.(:>) | ||||||||||||
