I don't know, Lorne. I'm still trying to figure this stuff out as I go along. It seems to me that gov'ts can use whatever they like as currency among themselves. Wheat, guns, currency of other nations, you name it. So, why not gold? I wouldn't ordinarily think of AK-47s or Hondas as currency, but if one country accepts them as payment for something, why not?
