That is fascinating, RTev. I don't know anything about Paul Allen. Is he the type to fulfill a secret fantasy, or a focused dedicated businessman with a far-reaching plan for his vision? Or both?
I tend to believe that he is intent on capturing the entire market for entertainment and generic (i.e. most common) system for mass communication.
BTW, do you think he, or someone for him, reads these threads?

Paul Allen is a

Humanitarian, he has bought hundreds of thousand acre lots in Washington state so that they would not be striped of forest, bought the seahawks to keep it in seattle for the citizens there and yes bought and restored the theater you speak of.

He had vision of broadband several years ago before our internet craze and was shunned... so he has bided his time and watched the world develope into what I belive is the right time for him and his expectations to JUST BEGIN to evolve into a broadband internet with voice over, instant interaction, sponataneous data compilation and much, much more...

So now he acts... GNET, HSAC, Charter Comm, ZD and again much more...

As a man who gives back to humanity is a plus... to me a strong plus... you reap what you sow.

GL all

PS. To all, TMEX is made of that same fiber, a visionary with twice the humanity... he's good people.

Don
