<<Just curious: why buy today, as opposed to, say, last October 8th?>>

Whoa, did i pick a friendly thread to post in. I'm tempted not to respond, but since you both are curious, the answer is: I didn't have the capital to invest last October. As of a week ago, I did. I spent a lot of time doing research and bought some stocks over the last week. My plan was to buy two semi companies that make chips for telcom, two semi capital equip makers, and two telcom/data networking equipment companies. For the semi makers, I chose AMCC and TXCC. For semi equips I bought LRCX and TER. I was down to KLAC or TER and finally decided on TER. Obviously, even buying a few days ago would have been better, but Im trying to be patient. I went with TER since their PE is a little more down to earth, and am familiar with their products as I use them at work. Finally for networking, I bought LU, and have yet to decide between TLAB, NT, or CSCO. I'm also considering some of the companies that make fiber optic networking components like UNPH, SDLI, or ETEK.

Best Regards,

Obe
