I believe there is a compiler with VTune which replace the
compiler of MSVC(don't know if it would work with others
like Borland).

Yes, that's true. However, I believe that Intel's compiler is only used for benchmarking and is only shipped with VTune. So it is short hand to call it the VTune compiler.
