Stan,

I wouldn't say there are better plays, but there are additional plays. I don't know how to determine how undiscovered they are, but the essence of king and especially gorilla investing is that we don't have to get in at the very beginning to be wildly successful.

Citrix is ceratinly one to look at in the delivery system to businesses. I'm also not entirely convinced that some day Citrix won't be delivering to the consumer.

RealNetworks is in the delivery camp.

Your Sandisk is obviously a storage player. I mention it because you were humble enough not to. You're not the only one who thinks it should, at the very least, be on our radar screens.

If an ASP (application service provider) emerges as a King, that would be a vital play on the delivery system also. The industry is just barely in the beginning stages, but it's one to keep an eye on.

Another trend-oriented play that I should have mentioned as an alternative to delivering and storing data is the manipulation of data. There are a lot of sub-categories in that mega-trend.

For businesses, any application software is a manipulator. I like front office software because it is expected to eventually become larger than the ERP space.

For businesses and consumers we would want to keep an eye on all of the e-commerce apps. The marketing software opportunity seems to be huge, which is why I have my eyes on VerticalNet and Vignette.

It wouldn't be bad to keep an eye on bill-paying apps such as CheckFree and other.

There are many others, but I'm having trouble focusing on them because of the distraction Wimbledon is imposing on me. :)

Last but not least, we should also think of security software as a different category.

Maybe all in all, we should think of the areas of business that will go through the roof as we exchange more and more data. I've come up with delivering, manipulating, storing and securitizing the data as four main areas. Are there others?

May I suggest VISX, THE laser company for your eyes. This stock could be the first one to split three times in the same year.
If you think the upside for QCOM is scary (which I agree wholeheartedly), look at VISX. 75% of market share with penetration of only 2% of potential customers (that's only in the US). Not to mention Europe, Japan, etc.
Trading at all time high, fantastic chart.
The good part is, most of the growth has been word of mouth. They have not even begun to advertise. I can't believe I am saying this but Yahoo msg boards have some great VISX investors, namely Jackspop, Bajasurfer...
