to: chalu2 from: truedog At one time, and I presume it is still the same, the units of the National Guard, not the home guard, in Texas were formed from regular army units when the situation no longer required their participation. These unit have a proud tradition of service in combat. Elements of the Texas NG were active in both Desert Storm and Kosovo. You seem to be carrying a really large chip on your shoulder about " people of privilege". Sounds like your main problem is jealousy of people who have more money than you do. I don't recall who said it but, there is no load as heavy as the chip on your shoulder. Where did Gore serve? TD
