Shadow,
Hi!!!!
RE: My friend's IBM Aptiva is really an Acer, built in Tiawan with an
IBM sticker on the case. The May issue of PC World gives Acer a
"poor" rating for reliability. Based on my friends experience, I'd
have to agree.

Rolls Royce quality.....Mazzerati speed...at a Volkswagen Beetle bargain price...that's why DELL is #1...

OOOH yeah...over 200 independent service awards... :o)

Best, Kemble

Shadow and thread,
OT.
I want to buy a low cost computer for my oldest boy and wonder if anyone has tried the compuserve $400 computer rebate deal. It sounds pretty good since our family could use a second internet connection especially when school starts back in fall. I was thinking about a $499 AMD K2-400 or a $599 celeron 400 computer which would be $99 or $199 after the $400 rebate. Anyone using compuserve and/or a celeron 400?
