If you consider Yahoo Thread a Barometer I'd be a buyer on Tuesday, just not at the very open. most of the rethoric there is of buying, or shorting into a pull back and then going long big time. I would advise not making any big bets, since it could go 20% either way assuming the volume stays above 2mil. We did have some help Friday from a web site that liked MCOM thursday night, and the relief greenspan/employment figures rally. There is no garrentee we'll see that now, unless Tuesday's press plays up the Asian rally/recovery. What seems to attract newbies is this "wireless internet" concept and our associating with WCOM. we all know this is no big deal as somebody was bound to come along and plant some serious coin down on MCOM, and this fact may be already factored in to this premium share price anywhere above $10 that WCOM is paying. But imagine you didn't know there was any Wireless Internet solutions out there till this week? you'd be throwing money at this stock as well?! This volitility is compounded by the fact that so many big name investors are holding their positions leaving us retail investors with so few shares left to fight over, making this stock behave just like a small floater. Despite having a modest position, I may load up on more shares should the opportunity arise in the lower 20's. but don't be shy to buy higher, just maybe don't buy as big as you want to "make up" for not getting it cheaper. That's always a practice that can get you into trouble. Besides, they'll be other ones like MCOM this month, just keep your eyes open. I think the only thing that will bring the Euphoria down is a good press story scoffing at how the stock has run away just on the WCOM/MCOM news. They'll write how difficult and long the build and cash flow will take, and the competition just over the horizon yahda yahda, and that will give many an excuse to take profits, the daytraders will move on, the volume will die down, and we'll probably settle back into the high teens once more. The lucky part is, you probably won't see such press till earning release on July 15th. Contributing Editors hate writing new stories when there are fresh numbers to chew on just around the corner. So till then, this sucker will run, rebound, squeeze and amaze old timers on this thread. (old timer is defined as anyone who bought this stock before June'99)
