Laz,

"of which I light candles every night for ...."

Then I suppose you will agree with my sentiments, at least in part, in the following message I posted to the Gilder thread:

Message 10376044

What is your (and others') feeling(s) about picking up MFNX/ABOV, while I'm at it?

Regards, Frank Coluccio

hi lazarre, after being away from all news for more than a week, i was pleased to see the news concerning the Irish cable deal. (would have been more please to see an end to the FRO-USW-QWST mess, but that's another story). However, while the PR that you linked to does provide slightly more information than the company's usual 3 line statements, it is typical of the lack of information that i have come to expect since the inauguration of jolly ol' King Bobby Annunziata.

i have more than a few questions that maybe you or someone could address.

What i'll do is put quotes from the PR in italics and my questions in regular text.

Global Crossing Ireland, a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Crossing Ltd. (Nasdaq: GBLX - news) OK, i am familiar with the complex structure of Global Crossing Ltd.
My question is when was Global Crossing Ireland formed and where can i find an SEC filing relating to it?

This state-of-the-art undersea system will link two of Global Crossing's Irish telehouses, via two diverse fiber cables, connecting Ireland to the world's largest cities through the Global Crossing Network.
When did Global Crossing acquire any Irish telehouses (do we own more than two?) ?
Where on the Global Crossing Network is the other end(s) of these two cables?
What is the total capacity of the new cables?

The Irish Government will be the system's anchor customer under an $80-million agreement.
When we get the $80M? What percentage of the cost of the installation is that?
What percentage of the capacity are they getting?

Global Marine Systems Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Crossing, will provide installation and maintenance for the undersea portion of the Irish system.
Is a contract for the design and engineering included in the "installation?"
When is the project expected to start and, more importantly, what is the projected completion date?

Under the terms of the agreement, IDA (Industrial Development Authority) Ireland will transfer the capacity to Ireland-based
telecommunication carriers and service providers, thereby establishing a Public Private Partnership. Furthermore, Global Crossing will co-operate with IDA Ireland to assist in that resell effort.

Uh, if we could cut the political posturing, what would this sentence say? Resell the $80M the government contracted or they help global Crossing sell the remaining capacity?

thanks for any feed back.
