But how am I supposed to feel if your only reason for engaging me in this thread is as a foil in some cute little game of political and ideological propaganda? It disappoints and hurts me, and motivates me to end a discussion with you. Why? Because of fear? (Of what?) Because of greed? (For what?) No. It is because the idea that you are pursuing an interchange for reasons other than a free and frank exchange of views offends my sense of reciprocity.
