There was a full page "ad" in the New York times thanking the people of Sacramento for the way they were handling this horrible act. It was paid for by the ADL.

Myron, I have spent the time since reading your posting forwarding its contents to family, friends, and business associates. For many reasons and on many different levels, I was deeply moved. My own check will be in the mail tomorrow to help rebuild the temple and its library.

Myron, I too will be happy to help. But I must say I can't quite understand Mr. Canton's astonishment, as expressed in his question: "Who ever heard of Gentiles caring about Jews?" Myron - I think the people who do things like bomb synagogues are mentally ill, marginal people - like that pathetic young man that was shooting people in Illinois and just killed himself. Men like him are no more representative of Christians than the Son of Sam and Ted Bundy should be considered representative of men. This was the act of a depraved man. I hope that these things do not cause Jews to hate Christians, as that would be unfair and undeserved.
