1/4 truths.

Wave is a distribution service. In order for it to be successful, it has to deploy a critical mass of "flawless' chips in a limited timeframe. Not only do they have to beat a limited timetable, but they cannot afford any "major" error to the system. If the back office system [Wavenet] crashes, where do investors stand?

Remember service. If Wave does deploy a critical mass in a timely fashion, [which is VERY questionable]does it mean that PC users will register to use this service? If 1mm chips are deployed and only a small percentage use the system, where do investors stand?

You have to change the way consumers spend their money. You are banking on a large "paradigm" shift. Not only are you trying to radically change the way consumers spend, you are trying to do it with a small timeframe, limited resources, no room for error, not to mention you have to actually deploy a large amount of flawless silicon.

It's kind of like the Larry Bird commercial. Off the scoreboard, onto the side of the building, hit the passing helicopter, nothing but net.
