How do you mean it's becoming clear they won't meet forward estimates? From what source is that info comming from? Wasn't it T.J. that just recently said he's happy with the street's estimates of sub's which was 1 mil by end of 99 which is also what ATHM projected earlier this year?

>That is why the stock is struggling, and is badly lagging the internet sector.<
IMHO. it's the uncertainty over open access which has held us back, not the sub's.

The susbscriber rates are MUCH lower than what management was telling the street a year ago, and it is becoming clear they won't meet estimates going forward.

Could you please provide detail for this statement?

What subscriber rate was ATHM expecting a year ago? I personally don't remember. I'm not even sure what you mean by "subscriber rate". Do you mean rate of growth in the # of subscribers or what % of total homes passed sign up for service?

So far all I know is that ATHM is meeting its subscriber count goals but does not appear to have yet accomplished dramatic increases in the number of new subscribers installed/day. That is a legitimate short term worry. I have been hoping that winter weather was a factor in the near linear growth in the first quarter.

Initiatives for speeding up the install process are still planned for the future. I would like very much for ATHM to tell us how this is progressing.
