Carole --

I'm not sure which way this thread will go, but I'm enjoying the dialogue in the process.

Here's an article from garage.com discussing viral marketing, a term I'd not heard till now:
forbes.com

And another discussing what it takes to succeed in a new business:
inc.com

Here is a barrier that companies often face.......You have an owner who has never run a $50 million company and he is telling investors that he can do it.....and you know in your heart that he is a hellava sales person but when it comes to relinquishing the checkbook and control of the company and doing what he does best which is sales he wont step down for the better of the company....despite holding the majority of the shares....

That is one the biggest downfall of all companies.....management.....

Interested in your experience with that....

as for where the focus should be......both the store fronts and back ends as well as the products you represent are very important.....equally.....but is it better to have mediocre products and website along with an awesome marketing....or to have a great product and website and mediocre marketing????hmmmmmm

Being from the marketing side of things......
