Despite the bad rap that Soros and others like him received, they may actually be doing the world a service by forcing reforms in target countries. I think Indonesia will now wind up a better country at the end of the day and I have no doubt that Soeharto would still be reigning had the Asian Meltdown (which was supposedly triggered by leveraged speculators) never occured.

It hurts before the joys of reform are felt.

p.s. hearing Soros & Robertson talk about their craft is very interesting. While Soros acquieses that his activity is 'immoral', Robertson is of the view of which I argue above. Soros has mental problems though, so always take his comments with a grain of salt.

As for supreme court, I understand the US considers ourselves the rulers of the world but in reality, there are still other sovereignties with their own governments that our supreme court does not have jurisdiction over.

Guess you don't approve of the "Clinton Doctrine".

Ramsey,

I would find it harder to fathom what would happen if Soros and company launches an attack in the US. I think there is plenty of room for attacks here.

If the attack was unsound from an economic point of view others would jump in to take the other side of the trade and Soros would eventually lose. The power of a bunch of little guys acting together is awesome. Remember when a bunch of little guys, many in poor countries like India, sold the Hunt brothers their silver in 79,80? "Down goes Frazier!"
