>>and will be valued as such ...sooner rather than later.<<

Your predictions have not been too accurate lately. Does this one come with a double-your-money-back guarantee?

We really DO want to believe you.

And you add SO much to your credibility when you quote yourself.
>>...and that 96MB CompactFlash is the #244 Best-selling product?<<

Keep up the good work!

Rocky -

That shopper.com top 1000 list is a hoot. It's like watching a horse race.

Today, the USB Orb has jumped all the way up to number 371. I'm sure you would have pointed that out to all of us if you had noticed.

Or maybe you didn't want to call our attention to the fact that the PC Card Clik! drive had moved up to 365.

But you know what? The adversarial relationship between you and this board is stifling any kind of serious discussion. You post your haranguing, error-ridden garbage, and many of us spend a lot of energy trying to expose your faulty logic and factual mistakes. Meanwhile, I find myself not wanting to post certain things, because I would never want to appear to agree with you. For that, I take full responsibility. The problem isn't yours alone.

I'm going to make another effort to rise above it all, starting now. I would like to state that it is quite clear to me that solid state media, and in particular Compact Flash, are obviously forces to be reckoned with. I do believe that it IS quite telling that CompactFlash products, despite their high per-megabyte cost, are selling so well.

CompactFlash is as close to being a standard in the digicam, small portables market as Zip is in the mid-capacity removable storage market.

I said it and I believe it, and if it happens to coincide with something you Rocky beats us over the head with, then so be it.

Still, having said that, I do believe that Clik! still has at least some chance of succeeding. There is a value proposition there that may be quite compelling to some buyers. I was starting to doubt Clik!, but the recent very positive response to the PC Card model has me wondering.

The success of CompactFlash does not completely preclude the success, to at least some degree, of Clik!

Solid state storage and mechanical storage, in my opinion, will continue to co-exist for many years.
