I agree, "the chartist" at thestreet.com is definitely not one to follow. But, why do you think they would hire GBS specifically because he's not in a position to discuss TA? I noticed the heavy emphasis on charts begin when he took time off to move last year, ostensibly as a timesaver for him at that time, but it has taken off from there. As far as thestreet.com goes, many, if not most of their writers seem to have little financial acumen. But I still prefer them to Barron's, and The WallStreet Journal is way too long and full of irrelevant details for me. I suppose daytraders don't need to read much news, but swing traders should. What do you prescribe?--- or do you live & breathe by charts alone <g>?
