Look don't make think so drastic. TTRIF is from Vancouver. Now if you compare Vancouver to the T.S.E. Toronto there is a big difference.

Fate,

"Now days when I am researching a stock just the statement that it is a Canadian company or that a company is making an alliance with a Canadian company sends cautionary warnings. I pretty much dismiss the company period."

I always find it ridiculous that people would make such blanket statements. While I don't think you'll find too many people to dispute with you that Rene "is a sad individual indeed" I do however take offense at your inference that because he is Canadian, ergo all Canadians must be that way! Is Bill Clinton characteristic of what it means to be an American?

FWIW I would point out that there are several accounting standards that are more restrictive than the US, while the US does have better IMO disclosure rules.

I suggest you read through stockdetective ( financialweb.com ) if you haven't done so already. I also find it ironic that you attribute it to being Canadian, given that Rene achieved his notoriety on an American exchange and also given that it is rumoured that he was even kicked off Vancouver and listed on the NASDAQ.

It is a direct result of the apathy of American officials that Rene has been able to conduct business of selling shares on the NASDAQ, and also the NASDAQ bulletin board. Why doesn't the SEC step in? The SEC is after all an AMERICAN institution charged with protecting AMERICAN investors.

Let me be clear that I am not defending Rene at all, but I am defending being Canadian, and pointing out that your bias is absurd as it is based on false assumptions and poor relationship of cause and effect. I also find it silly that you would relate a for the most part venture and "concept" company with being Canadian. If you are going to invest in high risk ventures, you are eventually going to get burned but hopefully your wins are greater than your losses -- and there were plenty of warning signs if you looked for them -- which again I reiterate was why I did not invest in Thermo Tech although I was initially tempted to doing so.

Should someone invest in the NASDAQ BB and assume that what happens there is characteristic of Americans? Need I remind you that mobsters have been implicated in manipulating stock prices on the NASDAQ? Need I also point to the many American companies -- even big ones like Cendant who have had "accounting irregularities"? Am I to assume that that is indicative of what it is to be American?

Accept responsibility for your mistakes, however, please don't attribute it to any nationality. It is stupid and ignorant, and based on your prior posts, it is clearly a step down from your normally intelligent posts.
