Brumar, As I go on with this discussion, I am the first to realize that I do not have the tact of shalom, or the openness of Mark, but I don't hold any ill will against you, I am just stating my position. By identities I assume you mean names?? How am I trying to stop that? A man(or woman) has a name usually don't they? Are you saying that you can identify race by the name of the person? Of course you can identify the person. You can say ""Bob Smith was murdered today. Ben Jones was arrested and charged with capital murder and will stand trial."" What I am asking is why is that statement not good enough, Brumar? What does adding ""Oh by the way, Ben was ----- and Bob was a ----" add to the story? You and I both know why. Cause some ""investigative"" reporter needs to make some money and a name for himself. And some politico needs to make a name for himself(could name a bunch here but refuse). As far as Ramirez, what do reporting names and locations have to do with race? I also realize the whole countries fight over race and religion, it would be impossible in the news not to recognize this, but I am talking on a local level. Sometimes I think you and Mark and many ,WANT to keep the country in a mode of racial split so you can throw up news articles that say "race, race" Well let me tell you for every ""investigative"" story of a "racially motivated" murder , I could put up four or five murders from the paper where race was NOT a factor(white killing white or similar) that does not make the NSNBC sensationalism show of the week, or some politico's agenda. What do you think about that?Hey, I find this a little ironic: I don't find those statements ironic at all. I think they prove my point. MAYBE if I started listed the baby's ethnicicity(sp) then someone would notice, think?? I DO have a personal story that helps drive my stance. MY Mother was told by the doctor that she would more than likely lose her baby for medical reasons some years back.. He told her that near as he could tell, she would not be able to carry the baby full term and he could do a D&C to end the pregnancy, or she could get flat on her back and stay that way pretty much for nine months and maybe deliver. Well she did , and had problems, and extra cost(which they could not afford). And guess what?? She delivered a big ol ugly boy and I am 46 now.....see if not for one womans tenacity and will for life, you would not have me to harrass you now...:o) Lastly, people always remind me that when I say someone will go to hell, that I become judge.. I try not to do that, and prayerfully I am getting better at it, by God's grace. I do wonder how God will look at those who have become judges to determine which lives are worthy of keeping and which are not.(And believe me , there is life in the womb.) dan
