Yousef - Re: Just goes to show you what happens when a company "abandons" a bad business strategy ... I wonder how long it will be before AMD "bails out" of their CPU business ??

AMD could sell of its CPU division to Samsung, who would then market and manufacture the chips (and chipsets) under their Alpha brand. And while I'm fantasizing... Drop the Athlon name and sell them as Alpha K7s. Has a nice ring to it, IMHO.

Yousef,

I wonder how long it will be before AMD "bails out" of their
CPU business ??

It is imminent. Now that they have passed Intel in both MHz and architectural performance, it is clearly time to throw in the towel.
