back in beta land.

I notice I can still reply to myself inside the 15 minute edit window. Wonder if this will stay?

Also, everyone notice that the "you have XX minutes to edit" appears in RED? Why doesn't our "inbox" of new messages appear in red (as before) on the tool bar?

That is more than confusing to me. Goes back to everything blurring together.

Will that be changed in the newer SI? I want my "new messages" to jump right out at me.

I don't thing I'm alone, The first thing I look at(even if it's the corner of my eye) is if I have any new messages. In the beta, it's not as pronounced.

August:

We are absolutely going to enhance our search capabilities. I don't want to say more at this point in case any of our competitors are lurking around these boards. <vbg>

Also, yes, we are going to change the Inbox numbers back to Red. I would wager that this has been the single most mentioned item in all of the feedback that we've received - if you don't count all of Cheeky's requests to put a box around the messages. (Yes, Cheeky, we're planning to do that as well - as a customization option.) In fact, the back-end systems seem to be stabilizing quite nicely (i.e. not many hang-ups at all). So, we have a meeting scheduled for the morning where we will prioritize a number of the feedback items, and you'll start seeing implementations in the next few days.

By the way, what do you all think of the speed of the new site? It's pretty zippy on my end, but then I'm spoiled with a T1. :)

Thanks,

Bryan
