On the biotech front, have your looked at VXGN? I don't know if you are familiar with them, but with a stage III aids vacine, no one else even close, and the Clinton administration willing to look at anything up to and including tea leaves and black magic, this stock could have some good days ahead?? Even without the final approval, I have to believe the speculation along the way could drive it up.

Tad LaFountain on MU rumors.

Elsewhere, Micron Technology (MU: news, msgs) shares slid 1.8 percent as speculation carried over from late last week regarding its mircon processors. LaFountain said a part of the ponderings includes Micron's 0.18 processor in which "one of the functions on the parts is not working." Speculation also surrounds possible problems with Micron's 0.21 processor.

LaFountain said the company has denied the rumors, yet added, "The rumors have enough specificity to them that they would appear valued on face. If in fact they [the rumors] turn out to be true, then I think there is a total shredding of credibility on the part of the company." A Micron spokeswoman didn't immediately return calls seeking comment.

I think they mean processes not processors.

Mike:

What do you think of ANLY. Analysts international. They seem to have taken it on the chin of late. Do you have any experience following this company ?

Also, I have SWC in my sights but am looking for an entry point in the low 20's. They moved mightily in that direction on the downgrade from merrill. Do you still like/own ? thanks

Truth and valuations are oxymoron in this market.

So when is this big derivatives disaster? Is that a myth too? I'm beginning to think so -g-
