Boy, I wish I had a dollar for every time someone lied to me. And some of these people are considered moral beacons in my community. I think if you investigate someone long enough and hard enough you'll find that most people have told all sorts of lies--white lies, lies to get out of traffic tickets, during divorce proceedings, on income tax returns. You'd probably be putting a couple of hundred of million Americans in the pokey if we investigated everyone's lies. Now I'm not defending Bill Clinton, if only because I think a President has to rise to a higher standard than the average Joe Citizen. I do think that the basic root of Clinton hatred is his politics, not his personal behavior. We Republicans don't go around hating Bill Livingston or Dan Burton for their adulteries, do we?

Bill certainly passes the ruthlessness requirement for politicians.
