RE: "If INTC meets expectations, the price won't move all that much since guidance will probably be strong for Q3 and Q4. If INTC goes below expectations, they would have warned by now."

I suspect intc already has given guidance.....why do you think there have been so many downgrades in the past month and a half? PC sales are sluggish and Asia is not back yet; they are selling chips at or below costs; the PIII is not moving; Coppafeel won't be ready probably until first quarter, 2000 and Nerdced, maybe never; they are buying companies like there is a never ending fire sale; and they are in a lawsuit with VIA (and it usually it is more costly to start, then to defend a lawsuit).

But of course this is intc. Q3 and Q4 will be the best ever!!! Even if they don't meet earnings expectations, the price will go up. Besides I am sure their guidance has been so impeccable, there can be no misunderstanding.

Past performance is no guarantee of future performance.
