I frankly didn't care for Buckley. He had that patrician air about him that does not sit well with us ordinary New Yorkers; and having an apartment in Manhattan whilst living in Greenwich does not make you a native. As for Moynihan, he may be disappointing you, but the people of New York have repeatedly returned him to office. Either we're all saps, or he's done something right (it's interesting that you mention that Moynihan risked his political neck to oppose Hillary's health plan--shows some courage, doesn't it?). He's endorsing Hillary because, despite some good points, he's still a politician. I think he's making an error, but he hasn't phoned me for advice in quite some time.
