I believe, 80M unique users worldwide visited Yahoo! in the month of JUNE, of these users, 65M registered with Yahoo!

80MM is a crock, along with half of what they are saying.

I dug this up from last year's October earnings for GCTY:

========================= snip ========================
Santa Monica, California-based Geocities organizes its members' websites into ''communities'' based on shared interests. The company said the number of active registered users who have their own pages now numbers more than 2.5 million. Geocities also said that it averaged ***44.8 million page views*** a day in September...
========================= snip ========================

Now, Tim "stretch and bend the truth" Koogle says that Geocities accounted for ***40 million page views*** a day in June.

There are two conclusions that can be drawn. Either
1) Geocities traffic declined over the last 9 months (not likely) or
2) Yahoo is lying

My guess is #2? Why would they lie? Because if Geocities accounted for more than 40 million page views, it means Yahoo's growth was not much better than flat. Can't let a detail like that get out and spoil their smoke&mirrors game. It's better to say "page views grew from 235 million to 307 million", while leaving out the fact that GCTY accounted for most of the growth.

Funny how they choose to restate last quarter's revenue and earnings so that they can show earnings growth, but ignore every metric that would work against them.
