The only real way to tell if people see colors differently is to show them color charts and ask them questions about the same color. Which you did, in a sense. But you don't say that they saw the color differently than you did, the way I read what you wrote. All you described was that the people had a different nomenclature. In my perception. Wittgenstein would get a kick out of this conversation.
