Yama: I essentially agree with you..my question is, given how popular Greenberg is..and with such a large universe of corporate shenanigans to work with..how exactly did he land on idtc....someone must have brought this little matter to his attention..I'll bet every company in existance if scrutinized close enough has little dicey tidbits which would drive share holders mad..why this company and why at this time???

The Street.com story was an obvious set up. The article was cleverly written, but sleazy journalism at best. One can only immagine that Mr. Greenberg (given the benefit of the doubt) was set up by those with a short position in the stock. The timing was too perfect to be anything else. I mean the TA looked great, the IPO run up had started. We had just broke through the 50 day MA. Buy signals were being generated and more block trades were happening in the last week and a half than in months. All the sudden this just comes out of the blue? Don't believe in coincidance.

The company in question is owned by a long time associate of Howard jonas's. It is a holding company that controls over 20 profitable subsidiaries.

The company is among other things involved in the business of terminating calls in foreign Coutries at favorable rates. This same company was in business before IDT ever was and in fact originally helped Howard Jonas get into the callback business. Indeed it has been a licensed SEC 214 carrier since before IDT existed. So, to say that the company doesn't technicly exist, is delieberately misleading . IDT terminates calls through the Lermer companies at extremely favorable rates and the return on investment IDT gets far, far exceeds the cost of the loan. Further it is one way exclusive. Meaning we are free to terminate calls elsewhere but Lermer cannot except terminations from our competitors. The proceeds were used to expand their network in various Countries. The payments are current. Principal has been reduced several million dollars this year alone, etc etc.

Lehman Bros, BT Alex Brown Ernst Young etc ALL recently investigated these companies and found no problem whatsoever with either the relationship or the loans.

The loan is both personally guaranteed as well as guarenteed by the assets of ALL of Lermers subsidiaries. He is also in the publishing business and his assets far exceed this loan.

The loan has been disclosed along with the relationship in all relevant 10K's Q's etc.

In addition I agree with everything in this post.

To summarize. The company is directly on track. Huge news will soon be released and this was a desperate transparent act that Mr. Greenberg should never have involved himself with.

The stock wll rebound immediately as the shorts that also follow Mr. Greenberg realize the error and cover. Also, today we had a lot of TA buyers who bought in because the TA looked so good and then closed out their positions this afternoon after suffering the loss.

My advice. Do not sell, buy more on any weakness and take comfort in knowing that these people are experts at generating fear and this was the best they could do.
