The dead stuff is mostly crushed beyond recognition. The drag-trawlers pull heavy weights on chains in front of the nets, to scare the fish up into the the nets. What's left behind looks like a submarine bulldozer went over it. I hope I'm wrong, but what I've seen elsewhere doesn't inspire much optimism. A hill may be green again fairly quickly after a forest fire. How long will it take before it's a forest again? Assuming it's left alone, which in this case is hardly likely.
