Yogi, even if the prices stay the same, more money is being used to buy those shares because the sellers are net sellers of shares they bought at lower prices. Since some of the proceeds of sales are not used to purchase equities, it takes an inflow of money just to maintain a steady index level. The steady march of IPOs is soaking up cash as well and will continue unabated as long as the mood is so good.
