Hi Ed,

Well, I just made the switch! Because I'm a subscriber to AOL, I called @Home and took them up on their offer. The total cost to make the switch was "$0.00" (free cable modem installation, they pay my monthly AOL bill until '00, etc)..I can live with that!

However, when the rep attempted to schedule me for an installation date, he said the "computer" wasn't showing any dates avail. (I live in the SF bay area). He said he would have to have his supervisor call Denver to sort out the error, and that I would be getting a call back in the next "day or two." I didn't like that too much. I would think the response time would be MUCH more efficient than that. I'll be waiting for the call and look forward to the high speed connection.

I'll keep you posted on the outcome of the customer service delay.

Best of luck SCOTT
