Good stuff, notice that Dailmer-Chrysler is publicly dropping the on board reformer and gone back to the roots of diesel...Ford is building a new internal combustion engine plant... it takes about 3 years from the drawing board to commissioning (start-up) of an industrial job of any size. Yes you're right about synthetic gasoline, Kitimat's sister plant in New Zealand was originally built for that purpose. Arco is building a pilot plant at Cherry Point in Wash. state. The costs are least 350 million per plant and 50 million for a LNG super tanker. The Alaska natural gas fields are opening up, still Alberta has the most gas, that's another reason we should support them. There has to be future manufacturing jobs created for Alberta and Saskatchewan. Maybe the Heritage fund will ante in soon. We've got about 20 year window before the cost of oil gets expensive because it'll take more work (energy) to get at it. With SOFC's, lean burn ICE's, and better non- precious metal catalytic converters, the human race may survive.
