If you are a teenager and it is above freezing, you must wear shorts. The security in our federal building is tight, much tighter than other federal buildings I've been to in the lower 48. Which is a bit strange, given the low crime rate and low risk relative to the lower 48. For one thing, nobody with a truckload of fertilizer could even get off the ferry without the FBI and everybody else knowing about it. Secondly, if you wanted to commit some kind of Murrah Building atrocity you couldn't get out of town afterwards, so you'd have to be willing to be caught in short order. These weirdos who commit crimes in the lower 48 and run up to Alaska always get caught here. And we have a big jail right out by the Costco store.
