Q was using 80% of the capacity of QPE before Sony pulled out. They can now add another couple lines or so to production. All good for Q. More phones, more profit. Another road leading to Q.

Patents patents everywhere:

5,920,834 Echo canceller with talk state determination to control speech processor functional elements in a digital telephone system
5,920,284 Ambiguity resolution for ambiguous position solutions using satellite beams
D411,823 Wall mounted battery charger

Thanks Ron M--Lends some credibility to two thoughts:
1) There is a vacant Sony phone plant in Rancho Bernardo. Wonder about its size and quality.
2) The post from the "unreliable parts vendor" that a certain part's usage at Q would step up to 1.2MM/mo in July.

Also, is GTE caught by supprise, short of Sony phones having just filed suit against Q in VA for patent infringement? GTE spoksman, Jenny Bourbiel claimed total supprise. If so, is this is "suit in mouth disease" on their part.

It seems to me like this news is quite bullish if Q has achieved decent margins on their phones.
