Dale, do you think I am less credible because I choose to use an AKA?

You might also check the postings of one Aurthur Porcari concerning NCDR. He posts under his real name, only god knows why considering his past.

If we are simply talking about real names, I could be easily tracked down because I have an unusual last name, unlike yours. But since I don't know anything about Dale Baker other than what is revealed through your profile or posts, I don't see how your name adds anything. Especially here where we have only one alias, and every one of our recent posts are easily reviewed by others. You could be using an alias or not, I wouldn't know. I don't see how a real name adds anything to your accountability or credibility, the latter of which comes from establishing a reputation with your fellow posters here, and does not depend on a real name. Mr. Pink has credibility with me because I have gotten to know him through his posts. His real name is unimportant, especially since I don't know him personally.

Would Mr. Pink be more accountable if we knew his real name was Horace Levin? (I made that up). How would this make him accountable? If you want to sue him, you could file a suit, issue a subpoena to SI, and Horace should be allowed to challenge it (or not, it's up to him), and when the court reviews the challenge (motion to quash the subpoena), the court, not the plaintiff's attorney, will decide whether the suit has enough merit for SI to be required to reveal your true identity. That makes Horace accountable, whether his alias is Horace Levin or Mr. Pink.
