Looks like somebody is shorting crude heavily every time it gets over $20.

I agree with many here that OSX will remain a trading range for the time being. OSX 80 is proving a tough nut to crack. But my take is that the bottom of this range will be around 73-75 -- considerably above some other estimates.

Doug, I've been e-mailing e&p's about their cap ex budgets for 2000 for a couple of weeks now. Not a single response. I would really like to see you succeed where I haven't (so far <vbg>).

I had a boatload of Nov 30s on RIG that I unloaded today for a smallish profit. I have become persuaded by several of you that Oct/Nov may be a little early to leverage a big play on the drillers. If we get the pull-back which seems likely, I'm reloading on RIG a bit farther out. FLC too. I am still long RIG common a few hundred shares just in case the buyout some have speculated about comes to pass. For now, I'm sticking with OEI/CRK/MEXP.

way o/t: PAAS is cheap and setting itself up as a huge silver player. intriguing play. check out yesterday's press release and do some DD -- first rate website and one of its directors (Fleckenstein) posts on SI thread. I'm not here to tout it, in fact I have yet to buy it personally, but enough of you have given me timely deas and sound advice over the past few months (e.g., Slider, John Clarke, Gary) I figured I'd return the favor. FWIW. Happy trading.
