Thanks for the link Paul. And please have some respect with us hear, I know you have been and it is appreciated. We don't need any extra grief right now. This may be what the outage was about this morning. I am surprised these brokers did not know anything about it. Alert: Display of Trade Data for OTC Securities To: Head of Nasdaq Trading From: Dorothy Kennedy, Director, Market Operations Date: July 8, 1999 Re: Display of Trade Data For OTC Securities THIS ONLY EFFECTS OTCBB AND OTHER-OTC SECURITIES At approximately 1:15 PM, Nasdaq will implement a solution to the inability to disseminate current last sale, high/low and volume information for OTCBB and other-OTC securities. This change will remove all trade data displayed in the dynamic quote screen at the time of the correction. The system fix will reset all volumes to "zero". All of today's trades are good and have been captured by ACT. End of day volume will include all transactions for the entire day. Members are advised that the status of all trades reported to ACT, whether before or after the system update, will remain the same and will be forwarded to the clearing corporation, where applicable. Members are further advised that any symbol changes which were to have occurred in ACT in conjunction with the associated changes to the file will not be made in ACT today. Therefore, members must continue to report trades into ACT via the old symbol while quotes in OTCBB securities will occur in the new symbol. The old symbol can be obtained through the automated symbol directory on the workstation or on OTCBB.com. Please direct any questions to the ACT Desk at (203) 378-0166.
