Thanks for that thoughtful post Dave. My only disagreement is that I do not believe that this is a new tactic. In my two yrs of paper trading I identified this subtle approach by individuals, who first gain confidence of the thread as a supposed long, as the most effective method over time for these unscrupulous characters.

I learned to recognize to my advantage when this manipulation was happening and position myself to benefit since you can't really stop either the manipulators nor the ignorant reaction by retail investors/speculators. To access credibility of a negative post, I often review posts by the same person on other threads. The 'true colors' usually show. If the negative post appears valid, then I go directly to the company, get my "big time' broker involved, and 'talk' to as many other knowledgeable investors as possible before taking any significant action.

Regarding winr--no valid bad stuff here IMO. As you've said; this company is one of the few solid profitable outfits in all of bb land. Its like a gift-IMO--accumulate as much as possible at this level and simply comfortably wait as the company continues to everyday move farther along it's business plan.

Later,
patwrk

Just for the record, I make no apologies for being a daytrader
and I hope that one can see from my postings that I play no
games with people. I say what I mean, no innuendos,
Plain & simple I do not bullshit anyone, (not that you are
suggesting I do). I see this happen from others but certainly
do not condone it! The reason I am outspoken and will confront
others is so that my actions speak louder than words(go figure
its a typed conversation) but I have always wanted to be
respected for my opinions and regarded with integrity and that
of honorable intentions!

Best Regards

WB

Dave, that's a good story....
....for investor's magazines aimed at novice investors, sending them thrills down their spine: "Boy, what I've to consider when buying a stock".
But it is a fairy tale regarding WINR. WINR is poorly performing since February (please go back to my messages 4390 and 4674). That was at a time when absolutely nobody was bashing the stock. Only positive contributions were found on the boards.
In the meantime nothing has changed. The posted expectations were - and I assume are still - too high. I recall:...Lotto in Austria,..adding new casinos,...the reservation of server names in Europe,...the expectations that WINR will roll up the European banking landscape by hiring Dr. Proksch, Mr. Buchel and Dr. Keppeler as advisors....
But the reality is that only a few things happened, i.e. WINaLOTTERY with no follow through. And absolutely none of the investors and none of us can have any idea what revenue WINR can generate in the future (or do you have?). Mr. Skinner only made statements back in January about licensing revenues and gross revenues from the gambling business.
The - I agree more short time focused investors - therefore began to sell. And a stock drops when there are more sellers than buyers. That simple, or...period!...as you usually prefer to say.
I repeat, I still hope that a portion of these expectations will fulfill, therefore I'm holding and even added shares in the last couple of months. Investing into a BB stock means for me that I expect that the stock will increase at least tenfold, not in ten years, but within 1 to 2 years. Otherwise I better invest in Coke, GE, or Gillette.
Profits from a stock sale in Germany are completely tax free if you were holding for one year (LIFO principle!). Therefore I'll think about selling not earlier than in Q2 of Y 2000. I hope we'll have then a clearer picture of the business of WINR!
Regards, Reinhard
