Scumbria,

Re:" I have never said that RDRAM offers any advantage on a traditional motherboard, in fact I have been quite vocal to the contrary. The advantage of DRDRAM comes into play for cards/systems that can take advantage of multiple ports to memory. I expect to start seeing a lot of those next year."

OK thanks for the clarification.

So you are saying that RDRAM will offer NADA advantage on a camino platform which agrees with what I have heard.

Now lets talk about these "multiple ports" for next year.

IS this for desktop PC's, servers or some other space.

I know that new Alpha's etc are putting 4 RDRAM channels with memory control on chip for high end apps is this what you are talking about(seems like a very small market to me).

Welcome your expose on the future high volume apps for next year.

Regards,

Kash.
