Ralph, Mike has become a victim of group think by hanging out with all the doom & gloomers on this thread.-g- My comments are ( besides HO HO HO) as time passes leverage becomes greater, debt accumulates, valuations become more extreme, malinvestments accumulate - like all the capital raised by i-nut companies that have never made a profit and the vast majority which never will, savings are steadily depleted, the trade deficit widens are the US becomes the buyer of last resort. The trouble is US consumption is fueled by debt, dissaving and the wealth effect of the stock market. Even the wildest bulls do not promise( not yet anyway) that the market will never go down but the average investor's behaviour seems to suggest that many think this or at least they will get out in time.
