Ken, "...we will have sort of a trial in Canada to see how unbundling works."

I'm not sure that it will have statistical significance, given the difference in distribution and concentration dynamics which are at play. Namely, and I am only surmising here, but I think that this wont exactly amount to a full stress test worthy for concluding how a similar ruling will work in the US. There are many fewer potential ISPs in Canada, although I can't confirm that this wouldn't be offset by the many fewer numbers of cable tv operators, as well.

Do you or anyone else here know what the homes per segment standard might be (or if in fact one exists) on the Rogers system? Videotron? This too will play into the outcome. Is Rogers an ATHM affiliate?

It certainly adds an element of intrigue and increased speculation to the US situation, doesn't it? FAC

"So they will have to open their system to multiple operators and we will have sort of a trial in Canada to see how unbundling works."

Ken,
Or maybe a trial to see how fast multi-million $$$ Two-way HFC upgrades can stop.
