Then what you are saying is that you know more than Intel does.

kash, and thats what makes markets, buyers and sellers.I appreciate your skepticism. I think thats healthy, but I've satisfied myself that RMBS is clearly a risk worth taking. Hope you do well.

<Well, I don't for one minute believe that Intel is betting its future on RDRAM - if the market discards it then there will still be an intel.>

This might be just a case of semantics, but I do believe Intel is betting its future on Rambus. That doesn't mean Intel has no exit strategy if the bet is a failure. One of those exit strategies could be the DRDRAM-to-SDRAM bridge (the MTH component). It's not perfect, but at least it will work should Rambus turn into Rambust.

>>But the idea that RMBS memory will displace SDRAM within a few years is largely mistaken.<<

true - especially in an environment where you have nadda pc rev growth and 20% unit increases. cost is important. rmbs is big bucks.

And there's also "where there's one bear, there're other bears." <G>

Welcome back to Skeeter Bug, who believes that computing technology has plateaued and the average PC of 2010 will be less powerful and slower than the average PC of 2000. Good to have you back, Bug. <G>
