To be frank, I'm not really sure what I meant when I said that belief is never total. (The synapses aren't all firing today, apparently.) I'm sure, however, that I did not mean to imply any disrespect for your faith or anyone else's. What I probably meant was something like this. If we take the whole population and divide them up according to how much they believe the Bible is 'true', we will find a wide range of opinions, with some struggling to believe all of it and some struggling to believe none of it and many (if not most) falling in various degrees between. My guess, however, is that 100% belief is impossible, if only because there will be places where the believer is forced to say 'I would believe this passage if I understood what it meant'.
