I like to quibble. I am in law school (but at this rate will never practice law... I have calls on QCOM and a few more plays like this, and I have payed for law school AND a house downpayment).

Regarding addition to the S&P... yes, it does not change the intrinsic value of the company, but it probably means a boost in the valuation of the company... the PE... based on the validation that inclusion in the SP gives QCOM... AND: it means that every SP index HAS to buy QCOM. Remember AOL? Look at AOL between Dec and Feb. That is what we have ahead of us. My only regret is not buying more QCOM calls, and not buying them past July expiration. But maybe there will be a dip tomorrow midday...

Make not mistake, the S&P news means an easy 10-20% in the next two weeks.

Doug,

I understand that inclusion in the S&P500 is a validation of the company & it's products. My point is, advertising a wonderful value only make sense if you're through buying. Long the Q since 92, I'm secure with my investment! Don't need validation. Need more Q.
