[ot]Hi Mike, re:<<all Qualcomm True Believers believe with jihad-like fervor that it will ultimately defeat the infidel--thus dave horne and I should never meet in a blind alley>>

You're Qualcomm hat is a couple sizes too small and you're making sweeping conclusions regarding anyone that isn't drooling Qualcomm at every breath. I never voiced any such opinions on the ultimate defeat of anything; I merely provided data which, apparently because you didn't like it, you made an association that I am anti-Qualcomm and/or anti-CDMA. Absolutely wrong on both accounts, and oh if you only knew! I'm sure it was a light-hearted jab, but in the future I'd appreciate it if you thought long and hard before making such unfounded associations about me. I saw some pehaps misleading/skewed and surely incomplete statements for which I filled in some holes. They weren't opinions; I was just the messenger filling out the rest of the scoreboard. I do not hold jihad-like fervor for any investment or product. That is a state of brainwashed mind I hope to never fall into for anything.

Hi Mike,

and before the ink is dry on this post, the ITU will doubtless toss out a few more).
Yes, it is now designated IMT-2000 in ITUspeak. I.e. International Mobile Telecommunications-2000, or whenever...., cf. FPLMTS, Future Public Land Mobile Telephone Systems. They really have a way with words, don't they.

Mike, please be careful with that sensitive Mr. horne, we seem to be creating a hornet's nest of harangues 'round here.

Reminds of one of my favorite fallen kings.

Life's but a walking shadow,
a poor player who struts and frets his hour
upon the stage, and then is heard no more.
It is a tale told by an idiot,
full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
