Achilles, with all due respect, no where in my statement did I refer to "Instinct". I don't believe that instinct, a physical reaction, has anything to do with a spiritual connection with God. I believe that your spiritual connection with God will help you understand the things you read. It is not an excuse to get out of reading. I would be more inclined to compare the spiritual connection as a "Helpful Interpreter" or a teacher who helps explain things in a way that you can understand. Which, in my mind has nothing to do with "Instinct". This is what I believe. And I don't presume to know what anyone else's beliefs are. Thank you for your reply.
