gp,
it is actually a very lengthy report. 6 full pages with charts etc.
the things i really don't like are:
he uses tom's hardware for a significant reference.
he discusses camino delay..that is hardly news.
he quotes hyundai. then says it is difficult to comprehend.
he talks about "what we hear" with no references.
he uses semico research charts.
he projects worldwide dram sales in 2003 at 30-40 billion.

i am sure you get the drift. the writer is a reporter at heart. controversy sells. he has used the worst of everything printed to support his position. he projects rmbs revenues between 120 and 640 million in 2003 based on unsubstantiated assumptions. hardly a scholarly work imo.

this writer may have a position in the underlying security.<gg>

gp,
re. the infrastructure report...just one more comment.

the author of the report says he will not invest in rmbs.
he does recommend investing in advantest on the tokyo exchange because they make a rmbs tester. strange huh?

he also says rmbs will never be in laptops because of heat. guess he didn't get the word that this issue is resolved and rdram will be in laptops next year. in fact, rdram is now considered the optimal solution for laptops.

all of this of course is just imho.
